Following the unprecedented protests and anger in response to the 2020 killing of George Floyd—and frustrations due to the lack of systemic change, Adweek brought together top Black executives across marketing and advertising for A State of Revolt to discuss how they are personally navigating and leading their teams during the turbulent period. Since that tipping point, the market has been flooded with funding commitments toward racial equity, standing up for social justice issues like voting rights and police reform, and pledges to hire more Black and Brown talent.
